Which File Formats are Supported for Upload to MarketScale Studio

Modified on Wed, 31 May, 2023 at 4:38 PM

MarketScale studio supports common file formats for upload, providing flexibility and convenience.

For Videos:  Supported video file formats include MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM.

For Images:  Supported image file formats include JPG and PNG

For AudioNot Supported- This feature is expected to become available in the near future.

If you wish to record a voiceover to be used in a video, you may use a workaround by recording a video instead. The skilled editors at MarketScale can then extract the audio content for you.

How do you determine the format of the file you are trying to upload?

Windows:  You can determine a file's format by checking its file extension, which is the part of the file name that comes after the last period.

Here's how:

  • Open Windows Explorer (press the Windows key + E on your keyboard).
  • Navigate to the folder where the file is located.
  • Click on the "View" tab in the top menu bar.
  • Check the box next to "File name extensions" in the "Show/hide" section.
  • Find the file and look at its file extension. The extension usually consists of three letters following the period in the file name, such as ".mov" for movies or ".jpg" for image files.

Mac: You can use the Finder App to find the file format(extension) in MacOs

Here's how:

  • Open the Finder app on your Mac.
  • Navigate to the folder where the file is located.
  • Find the file and right-click (or control-click) on it.
  • Select "Get Info" from the context menu.
  • In the Info window that appears, look for the "Name & Extension" section near the top.
  • The file extension will be displayed after the last period in the file name.
