How to Send a StudioMail

Modified on Sun, 14 May, 2023 at 2:12 PM

StudioMail is one of the fastest ways to deliver video content directly to any email address. All you’d need is an email address; the recipient doesn’t need to be part of your organization or have a Studio login.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use StudioMail:

1. Click on the StudioMail button in Studio.

2. Obtain the email address of the person you want to send the email to. Enter it into the required field.

3. Enter a subject for your email in the "Subject" field.

4. To attach a video, click on the "Record" button to record a new video or click on the "Upload" button to upload a video or photo that you've previously saved. You can drag and drop the files as you please.

5. If you choose to record a new video, Studio will connect to your webcam and allow you to record directly into the platform.

6. You can add a virtual background to change your settings. You can also screen share, toggle between different cameras, switch to audio-only settings, or change your microphone as well.

If you aren’t able to see or hear anything on playback, it might be because you are on the wrong camera or microphone. Switch between your cameras and microphones by clicking on the icons in the bottom left.

7. Keep in mind that there is no editing in StudioMail. Whatever video comes out from StudioMail is what will be sent directly to your recipient.

8. Once the video has finished, you will be prompted to either accept or reject it. By accepting, you're merely uploading your video to the email. Keep in mind that it doesn't send your message at this stage just yet.

You can redo your video by clicking on the X button at the top or bottom.

9. In the last box, you can type in a message to whoever you're sending your StudioMail to.

10. When you're ready to send your email, click the "Send StudioMail" button. Your recipient will receive the email with the attached video.

That's it! You now know how to use StudioMail to send an email with a video attached to anyone with an email address.
