This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to share a video both internally and externally through a shared link.
One of the easiest ways to share a video with a colleague is to copy and paste the link to a video and send it in email or a teams chat. We want to make it as easy as possible to help you share it with a colleague even if they don’t have a studio account.
Every piece of media on Studio, whether it is on the feed or in the Inbox, has an option to copy a link to that media.
In the upper right corner, there are three dots which you can click to open up the list of options you have for that video.
Under this section of the page, there will be two unique ways to share a link:
Copy link to media
Copy external link
By selecting “copy link to media”, the recipient of the link will need to have an active studio account to view the media. This is a good option for sharing a video that might have sensitive information in it.
If you want to share a link with an external stakeholder who may not have an active studio account, use the “external option”. Anyone who clicks on that link will be able to view it and comment on it.
Now you are ready to share videos within your organization! Be sure to review our other knowledge base articles to become studio certified.
